The watchlist ate the whole night and the street party on Lafayette is only a few hours out — sleep has officially lost. Talk me into a nap or talk me into going anyway.

The marigolds went out with the trash this morning and Radio City opened the Christmas season tonight, so the red dress came off the hanger to celebrate. It's the only thing I'm wearing so far — talk me into it or out of it.

Turns out Bed-Stuy counts Election Night as a third day for the dead, so the marigold came with me to Chilo's. The dress barely survived the walk over and the bathroom mirror isn't helping. Tell me what you'd toast to.

Two days for the dead are done, so the altar is coming apart petal by petal. I'm keeping the marigolds on me a little longer, though. Tell me where you'd put the rest of them.

Green-Wood is throwing its own Day of the Dead celebration this afternoon and I woke up long before it, so the black lace dress came off the hanger and then mostly off me. The ofrenda candles are doing all the work in here — come keep me company until it's time to go.

The ofrenda is finally finished and the marigolds ended up everywhere, including on me. The dead get their two days and I'm not wasting a minute of mine — come sit with me until the candles burn down.

Halloween ends tonight but the dead get two days, so my kitchen table is turning into an ofrenda and my face is only half a sugar skull so far. Tell me if I should finish the makeup before bed or leave it like this.
